Although most employees today do not have a collective bargaining agreement or other written employment contract, in some situations employers may benefit from written employment agreements with certain employees.

Employment agreements should be custom-tailored for each particular situation. The attorneys of Harris Dowell Fisher & Harris, L.C. all have extensive experience preparing a variety of employment agreements, including for executive employment, sales compensation, noncompete, and independent contractors, as well as collective bargaining agreements. We have ready access to an assortment of previous employment agreements, so we do not start from scratch each time.

At times, contract drafts are initially presented by another party. While they may sound reasonable when read by a nonlawyer, review by expert counsel often discloses significant areas that can be improved through negotiation of modifications and additions to better protect the interests of the party that did not draft the original agreement. This is as true with an employment agreement as with any other contract.

The attorneys of Harris Dowell Fisher & Harris, L.C. are available to perform such contract reviews, and to suggest and negotiate improvements in employment agreements.
